The owners were excited as they described their idea of turning their existing unfinished attic space into a master bedroom and bath.  The plan posed significant  challenges as the ceiling height was low, plumbing needed to be added, and the existing staircase landed right in the center of the space. The solutions were two fold – 1.) Relocate the staircase and build a new, cabinet style stair that acted as much needed additional storage and 2.) Add three large skylights to bring in additional height and headroom into the space. Both solutions worked to create a well deserved oasis for this young couple.
