LAKE WASHINGTON HOME
Single Family Residential
New Construction/ Whole House Remodel
The client’s wish was to remodel their existing Seattle cottage and add a second story to accommodate the needs of a growing family. The early 1900’s house is located on the west bank of Lake Washington and is nestled between the lake and the Burke Gilman Trail. The home features floor-to-ceiling lift and glide doors that open to a private entry garden and the gorgeous lake front, allowing the owners to fully enjoy the home’s special location. Steel accents speak to the cool outdoor lake elements and include a new staircase that floats between the lower and upper floor. The warm whites, natural and dark wood tones along with the chocolate colored wall in the kitchen provide added warmth to the home. The final result was a home that reflects the ever-changing colors of the water as well as the clean, modern tastes of the owners.
